Staff Governor

Do you have any specific roles on the Governing Body?

Which committees are you a member of?

I am a member of the Curriculum and Learning Committee

Why did you apply to become a Governor at Ivanhoe College?

I am an approachable candidate who builds positive relationships with staff, not just within my department but on a whole school level. Staff would be able to come and discuss any issues with me which I could then feedback to governors when it became relevant.

I am driven by a passion to make a contribution to Ivanhoe as a whole school, having previously applied for roles that enable this. Being a staff governor will enable me to have that insight and impact at a whole school level. I wanted the opportunity for outstanding professional development for myself and develop my skills set, providing a broader mind-set.

What experiences have you had in your life that you bring to your work on the governing body?

I am currently completing a Masters in Education so I hope to provide current up to date academic view points on some issues. I also have worked in an 11-18 school prior to Ivanhoe and therefore hope that I can provide a breadth of experience through this.
