The timetable

The school operates a 25 period timetable. There are 5 periods per day (4 in the morning, 1 in the afternoon), each of which lasts for one hour.

Curriculum links to KS2

There are developmental links with all 14 feeder primary schools through leadership, pastoral, Science, English, Maths and Gifted and Talented working parties.

Curriculum links to KS4

  • There are links with Ashby School and other ACE partnership schools and regular subject meetings are arranged to provide a consistent approach to assessment and curriculum planning. We are working on a number of collaborative projects which link curriculum and assessment across the partnership.
  • GCSE link work is already happening in English, Maths, Science and Computing with other subjects developing their curriculum in light of GCSE developments, through the ACE partnership subject groups.
  • ACE assessment partnership work has provided all subjects with a common curriculum and assessment framework based on GCSE criteria.
