Lateral Flow Testing over the Easter Holiday

Following the success of the asymptomatic testing programme on the return to school and college, the Department for Education have advised all schools and colleges that it is vital to keep testing at home throughout the Easter holidays and into the summer term.

Please continue to test twice a week at home from now on and report results as positive, negative or void.  The results should be reported to both the NHS and to school.  This information is critical in helping us to understand the prevalence of the virus across the country.

The Department for Education has asked for all students and all staff working in schools and colleagues to continue to test twice weekly over the Easter holidays.  Students have been sent home with additional home testing kits and MyEd reminders with the link to report results to the school will be sent every Wednesday and Sunday throughout the Easter holiday.

Please also ensure that your child(ren) are tested before returning to school for the start of the new term on Monday 12th April: either the night before on Sunday 11th April, or during the morning of Monday 12th April prior to setting off for school.  This will help us to find and isolate any positive cases.

If your child tests positive, your entire household must self-isolate and a confirmatory PCR test should be arranged (as home tests are not conducted in a controlled environment).  Please inform the school by emailing covidresults@ivanhoe.co.uk, as well as completing the form.

Please note: testing at home does not replace testing for those with symptoms. If you have symptoms you must self-isolate immediately, book a PCR test and follow national guidelines.
