North West Leicestershire Schools Partnership is a partner of North West Leicestershire Local Sport & Physical Activity Alliance, and in turn a partner of Leicestershire and Rutland Sport.
The North West Leicestershire Sport & Physical Activity Alliance is made up of many different partners including the District Council, National Governing Bodies, School Sports Partnership, Voluntary Action Leicester and Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust. The aim is to assist and increase the provision and participation in sport and physical activity at all levels.
North West Leicestershire School Sports Partnership organises and delivers over 100 events in 30+ sports and activities across the Ashby, Ibstock, and Coalville areas each academic year; these events are also complimented by a comprehensive fixtures programme, and additional schemes delivered within the schools. Many of the competitive elements of the events calendar form part of the Sainsbury's School Games programme, and progress from intra school "level 1" events, through to "level 3" competition.
