For French revisions, we advise students to use their blue vocabulary books to revise the vocabulary (meanings and spellings) on the topics named below for each year group. These topics can also be revised through games and activities on www.linguascope.com (username ivanhoeash    , password 14nguages)

 

Year 7

The topic and grammatical points students need to revise are:

Hobbies
Gender (masculine/ feminine)
Using adjectival agreement ( how adjectives agree with nouns)
Using possessive adjectives: my ( mon/ ma / mes) and your ( ton/ ta /tes)
Using -er verbs ( and their endings)
Using irregular verbs endings ( aller – to go, avoir- to have, être- to be, faire-to do)

 

There is a vocabulary revision list on Moodle :

  Year 7- French- Advice and vocabulary- end of year 7 exam revisions- vocabulary and grammar.

 

Year  8

My area and house
Gender (masculine/ feminine)
Plural
Using adjectival agreement ( how adjectives agree with nouns)
Using possessive adjectives: my ( mon/ ma / mes) ,your ( ton/ ta /tes), his/her (son/ sa /ses)
Using -er verbs ( and their endings)
Using irregular verbs endings ( aller – to go, avoir- to have, être- to be, faire-to do)

Year 9- French- Vocabulary – Vocabulary Holidays ,Vocabulary Holidays 2 and Verbs and tenses-end of year exam.
