Year 8 undertook on the extra-ordinary feat of putting on a play in a day. Students worked with professional actor Sebastian, who has acted in films and appeared in many BBC shows,he was an indpiration to the students.
Throughout the day students got into four groups and had one session with Sebastian where they learnt parts and had a dress rehearsal. Groups then spent time working on their parts and creating props for the show. Some students created Christmas song remixes on Cubase to play at the performance.
In the last session of the day we had an audience come down to see the play in a day with a majority of the students on stage acting their scene, which was brilliant. Student also did lighting and created back drops for the show and music to play before the performance.
Many students said it was the best curriculum day they have had.
