Girls Active

Before half term, we started a Girls’ Active Club which takes place after school on a Wednesday until 4.15pm. The girls have nominated activities that they would like to have a go at and so far we have taken part in bench ball, judo, a fitness challenge and Zumba! We started off with 30 girls participating in the first week, which was a fantastic number. We had 50 girls for both the Judo and fitness challenge, which we were absolutely overwhelmed with. The aim of the club is to encourage as many girls as possible to try something new and have fun with their friends. So far, the feedback from the girls that have attended has been brilliant and they all have a smile on their faces at some point in the session, even when they are working hard. We have still got a football tournament, Kick-boxing, Taekwondo, Yoga and Quidditch planned to name but a few before the summer holidays so there is a lot to look forward to. All girls are welcome to start at any time and can just come and have a go at the sessions that they fancy.
