We were so proud to take our school choir to entertain guests at the Hospice Hope Support cafe on Friday 14th December, at Legion House in Ashby. The choir performed a number of songs to the delight of the audience.
Hospice Hope is a wonderful local organisation in North West Leicestershire offering pastoral support and care to help people cope with life limiting conditions and illnesses such as cancer. As well as running 3 support cafés a week in Ashby, Coalville and Ibstock, they also offer a range of support and complimentary therapies at ‘Hope House’ in Griffydam. The charity is currently raising money to open a similar property in Ashby and a location has been secured for this to be built.
At Ivanhoe we know that many of our students will be touched directly and indirectly by the conditions supported by Hospice Hope, so it was our pleasure to be able to offer them some support at Christmas time.
