Ivanhoe Double Up for Team Leicestershire Titles

Team Leicestershire Final – Hockey Year 7/8



Ivanhoe College picked up double glory in the Year 7/8 Hockey Finals, as they fought off six other teams to be crowned Team Leicestershire champions.

Five girls sides competed at St Margaret’s Pastures on 31st January, with a high level of hockey on show across all teams. They played simultaneously with three boys sides, who faced off against each other twice as they looked to pick up the points needed to secure the trophy.

3rd Place ~  Welland Park Academy

4th Place ~ 4th – Charnwood College

5th Place ~ – Wreake Valley Academy

Five of the 10 districts were well represented and despite cold temperatures and the occasional rainfall, there was a strong sense of fairplay throughout, with sides interacting both on and off the pitch.

Team Leicestershire is the umbrella Association for all traditional competitive school sport in secondary schools across Leicestershire, Leicester City and Rutland.
