Ivanhoe Penpals

Mrs Mabrouk, French teacher at Ivanhoe said, “The town of  Ashby-De-La-Zouch is twinned with the town of Pithiviers in France, so I thought it could be interesting and relevant for our students learning French to have real contact with French students from Pithiviers.

Thanks to the help of the twinning committee, which facilitated a contact with a school, I have started a penpal  exchange between students from Ivanhoe College and students from Saint-Grégoire Blanche de Castille in Pithiviers.

Our students were so excited about the idea of communicating with French students their own age, that they could not wait to get started.

Last week, we received our first letters from Pithiviers and we are in the process of sending our letters to them. Watch this space!”
