There are a number of opportunities at the moment for students to show off their creative skills as well as win fantastic prizes.
Please encourage your child to take part, it would be fantastic if some students from Ivanhoe could be recognised, and repeat some of the past successes of students in previous years.
Last year one of our Year 7 students (at the time) won this prestigious national award. Amber Badger won a number of prizes for herself and for the school. Can any of our students repeat Amber’s success from last Year?
This year’s theme is ‘Aspirations.’
We will be helping any students interested in entering to work on their photography skills and enter them into the competition.
Look out on Moodle for more details
This year the theme for the Ashby Arts Festival is 'Once Upon a Time' and for the 2016 Rotary Young Artist Competition is ‘Our World is Beautiful’. Again, the Art department will be supporting our students to take part in these competitions. It will be a fantastic opportunity for out students to show off their skills.
The BBC 500 word competition 2016 has launched. Aimed at students up to the age of 13.
Write an original story on any subject or theme in 500 words or fewer and submit it online.
If you win, your story will be read live on the radio and you will rub shoulders with the world’s biggest celebrities and massive pop-stars performing at the Final!
