Welcome to you, the newest members of the Ivanhoe Community!

It's safe to say that the last year has been a challenge for you and for schools. It has dramatically changed the way in which we can welcome you to the school and unfortunately, we will not be able to have you into Ivanhoe for the 'transition days' like we have with students in the past, due to crossing of bubbles from different schools.

But, last Summer we had a very successful online transition package for our current Year 7's, and we will putting together something similar for you this year.

You will be having a visit, from your new Headteacher,Mrs Allford, over the next couple of weeks in your primary school. This will give you a great opportunity to start finding out about life at Ivanhoe and to ask any questions you may already have thought of.

Then, keep a regular eye on this page as we add videos and guides over the coming weeks to help you prepare for starting at Ivanhoe in August 2021.

If you have any further questions that haven't yet been covered, please in the first instance email our Admissions Co-ordinator Mrs Gray a.gray@ivanhoe.co.uk

Thus 6th May 2021

There will be more videos and activities coming so keep checking back to see the lastest news.

Have you complete the Year 6 questionnaire with your child? Click here to complete it by 14th May.

  2. Ever 6 FSM: Those pupils who have been registered for free school meals at any point in the last six years (known as ‘Ever 6 FSM’).
  3. Children of members of Her Majesty's Forces.
  4.  LAC (Looked After Children): Those students who have been looked after continuously for more than six months.
  5. Post-LAC including adopted children.

If your financial situation has changed you may now be entitled to free school meals for your child.

To claim both we need some information from you. To read the full details please click here.

Communication from school

Once your child starts school our preferred method of communication is through the MyEd App. We would appreciate it if you could download the app before your child starts with us. Once they start your app will be linked directly with your child's school records, enabling you to see how they are performing in lessons and attendance amongst other things. It is also an excellent way for us to message you and allow you to fill in things such as consent forms easily, and allow you to have 2 way communication with staff.  We have had excellent feedback from parents about it. It is available for android or apple devices.

Parents who do not sign up to the app will still receive messages via text or email, but unfortunately this incurs a large cost for the school, which could be better spent on your child's learning.

To find out about how to download as well as further benefits please click here.
