Ivanhoe Under 5's Home Page

A child's 'Journey to Excellence' begins at Ivanhoe Under 5's.

Welcome message from our Childcare and Education Group Leader: Mrs Lucy Kirk

Welcome to Ivanhoe Under 5's, an 'Outstanding' term time only pre-school provision for 2-4 year olds, set in the grounds of Ivanhoe College in the centre of Ashby de la Zouch.

We, uniquely, are an integral part of Ivanhoe College and we work within the framework of the College's vision:

  • Learn together, ensuring everyone experiences success
  • Build a rich and creative learning community enhanced by technology
  • Value everyone and embrace diversity
  • Provide a safe and caring environment
  • Build strong partnerships and look to the future

Here at the Under 5's we feel that children learn best when they are healthy, safe and secure, when their individual needs are met, and when they have positive relationships with adults caring for them. The Under 5's setting provides high quality care which is welcoming, safe and stimulating, and where children are able to enjoy learning and grow in confidence.

We ensure our children are safe by guaranteeing the suitability of adults who have contact with the children; promoting good health; managing behaviour and maintaining records, policies and procedures. We also want every child's time at Ivanhoe Under 5's to be special and fun, so if you have any queries or concerns please speak to any of our members of staff.

We look forward to meeting you and your child at the pre-school.
