
We are extremely fortunate that our school have benefitted from a generous donation of rope grown mussels that were used within lessons by GCSE students to create a wide range of tasty seafood dishes by our students. Year 10 students worked in teams to source their own recipes and to make and present dishes such as moules mariniere, mussels with tomato and garlic, seafood boil, Students learned the food safety around preparing and cooking the mussels safely and correctly. Some students tried this food for the first time and were exposed to new and diverse flavours and textures from those that they were used to. This has given students a fantastic insight into development of their practical skills for GCSE.
