fundraising update

We have been overwhelmed by the support so far for our fundraising campaign to buy the all important ‘wish list of items’ for the new sports hall and to allow us to release the pledged funding from Garfield Weston.  We are well on our way to meet the target which will trigger the release of the £100k grant we secured.

The Mental Health Week fundraising including non-uniform and Bake Sale raised:£2104.60

The sponsored walk was a huge fundraising success, as well as being great fun for all of the students involved. To have the whole school working together was an amazing atmosphere. So far sponsorship totals are £7191.14

Well done to forms 7AKC, 8FRJ, and 9ECG c who raised the most per year group and enjoyed a film afternoon as a treat.

A huge shout out and thank you to Matthew Thompson in Year 8 who approached Ashby based company Protect for support for the fundraiser and his convincing presentation secured a £2500 donation. Here are some students and staff from the P.E. Team along with Matthew and Mrs Allford receiving the cheque from Chris Goodison MD of Protect.

Protect will the first company to join our brand new sponsor wall in the new sports hall.  Officially launching in September our Corporate Sponsorship Opportunity ‘Buy a Brick’ will give local businesses the opportunity to advertise and support the new sports hall which will be a community hub for many local sports, fitness and wellbeing groups.
