Dear Parents/Carers
We are delighted to write to you again, as the headteachers of the secondary schools in the local area, to share the exciting journey that we are taking to establish a collaborative approach to the education on offer from August 2022. The table below shows the current age of pupil in each of the schools and the key stage that will be taught in each school moving forward.

The three schools are part of The LiFE Multi Academy Trust, an established trust with experience of supporting schools through age range change, as well as developing outstanding curricula. Pupils currently in Year 6 will be able to select a preference of school, ready for Year 7 in 2022.
To support this process, there have already been several events which have taken place, and more will follow - ensuring that the community is informed and involved at every stage. All dates are provisional due to Covid restrictions.

Through attending these events, we hope that you will feel informed and well supported in making the right choice for your child. We see this change as an opportunity to develop an education system at the heart of the community that the schools serve.
Once you have made your decision about Sept 2022:
- you apply for a place at either Ivanhoe College, Ashby School or Ibstock School by 31st October 2021 using the LA’s online application system at: www.leicestershire.gov.uk/admissions
