Year 8 Medical Mavericks Workshop 2026

Today our Year 8 students were joined by the Medical Mavericks for a workshop on all things healthcare.

Medical professionals ran the session giving a medical equipment presentation overview first, and then letting the students loose to experiment on the apparatus.

Highlights include ECGs, a fake arm to practise drawing blood and googles which simulate the impact of 14 units of alcohol on vision.

The learners engaged well, had lots of fun and got a brilliant insight into the medical world as a potential career option.
